As a Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) Cashier, you will be providing excellent customer service at the point of sale. Your responsibilities will include processing transactions, handling cash, and ensuring a positive experience for our customers. We are seeking part time candidates who give attention to detail and accuracy. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.
Requirements to be Considered for this Position:
- Previous experience in a customer service environment
- Familiarity with building materials is helpful
- Ability to participate effectively as a team member
- Answering the phones
- Running the cash register
Responsibilities of the Position:
Customer Service:
- Greets customers and assists with purchases.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues.
Cash Handling:
- Receive payments in the form of cash and credit cards
- Maintain accurate cash registers and reconcile daily totals.
- Follow proper procedures for handling cash and making change.
Attention to Detail:
- Ensure pricing accuracy and scan items correctly.
- Assist with restocking merchandise as needed.
