Project Manager - Cabinetry

A Carter Lumber Project Manager is responsible for managing custom millwork projects from quoting through completion. Experience reading blueprints, doing take-offs and managing millwork projects is a must for consideration. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate production of all pieces being produced by our experienced craftsmen. Effective communication with the field and internal departments are mandatory for the success of this position.

Requirements:

• Previous management experience in a millwork environment 
• Previous knowledge of cabinet making and assembly of fabricated cabinets and other custom millwork
• Ability to read blueprints and producing take-offs/customer quotes
• Knowledge of common woodworking tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Be extremely organized
• Strong knowledge in mathematics and calculating measurements
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast pace environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Excel knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Experience with cabinetry installation
• Responsible for job-site inspections and final measurements
• Responsible for making sure installers are on the job-site and the install is going as planned
• Tracks custom millwork projects through all phases of production
• Answers questions and directs craftsmen to ensure job accuracy
• Works with customers and salespeople to make any needed changes to projects
• Ensures projects are kept on schedule
• Clears projects for final shipment to customers
• Works with delivery department to ensure timely delivery to customers
